To all of our users and readers, we at IDM would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
I always look forward to writing a short message at Christmas. As always, I know that some are not aligned with my thoughts and beliefs of Christmas, and I appreciate all the more you reading and contemplating what I share.
As I drove to the office this morning I heard a discussion on the radio about the absence of love in the world right now – I’m sure aimed at all the political infighting in the US. Looking around the world it unfortunately goes far beyond the borders of the US.
It made me reflect on Christmas and the greatest gift of love we will ever know: “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)”. How many of us that are parents would give our child to die on behalf of another – not one, I believe! Having three wonderful daughters I can’t imagine ever giving one of them up, ever, ever, ever. What an amazing gift of love we have to celebrate this Christmas.
While we can’t give the Gift of love that God gave, we can and should give love to others every day. Not just at Christmas but always. If we truly loved others we wouldn’t judge them so much, we wouldn’t be so critical, we wouldn’t ignore them… When we love others we will help them in their time of need, we will support and encourage them, we will agree to differ in areas that we just can’t agree (politics and religion), we will show respect, we will try to be to them what we want them to be to us – the Golden Rule.
Let’s go the extra mile this Christmas and continue it into the next decade. Let’s show the love of Christ to others, whatever we believe, accepting others as people to be loved and making a difference in this world.
Our sincere thanks from all of the IDM team for being part of what makes IDM possible and allows us to support many people and organizations around the world.
Whatever you celebrate, whatever your faith, we wish you very Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
Thank you again from all of the IDM team, may God bless you.

P.S. One of the organizations we support because of their commitment to helping others in need and integrity with their finances is Convoy of Hope.
